In Utah, the rent is too darn high

This week, the campaign is turning an issue spotlight on housing. Rising rents are a crisis for many hard-working Utah families. At it's core, this is an economy problem- we need better wages and more opportunities for Utah's working class to earn a living. But families are struggling and we must make renting affordable.

The state legislature should create incentives for developers to create housing options that are accessible to low-income renters, subsidize rents in targeted communities, and continue to work to improve wages for those who are struggling.
